A couple of those guys are OSHA nightmares, especially the one who was using the pneumatic wire wheel w/o safety glasses and caught a sliver in his right eye. He was rubbing it the entire show....what a moron. And when they were using the portable bandsaw to cut up the rollcage...yep, no glasses and staring directly upward into the cut....

I think the "American Hot Rod" show is going to end up hurting his rep and his pocket book.
Look at Chip Foose,the Tutles@ OCC, Rad Rides by Troy on Rides and Jesse James. As soon as TLC and the Discovery channel started doing shows with these guys, they took off. I know Chip has always been big... however...being exposed as a nice guy genius cant hurt buinsess. I think he felt he could finally offer someone like Charlie a better life and career.
Boyd looks to be worse than I think he really is. His cars IMHO, most of the time look great. I loved the 56 Chevy he did. That Red was the best looking Red I think I have ever seen. I liked it so much I painted my 67 that color.

if i had the money i would #1 start with an ACTUAL CORVETTE and #2 do the work myself.

I assume based on the info I have received in his shows that he has the design... and trained most of the shop foremen. I think we see someone that walks around and is hands off but I think succesful people set up succesors. Trust me, he is running the builds not those knuckleheads.

boyd doesn't bother me....he does have some idiots working for him though.... his management style is better then Paul Sr's....who by the way is pretty cool......
