Its funny that they are complaining that the owner wants things his way, but if I was paying that much for a corvette I would want it my way to, but of course I wouldn't go to Boyd for it!!!
It sure sounds to me like the owner wants to have Merlin 2 built. 1200 hp with AC???
I think it's funny no one is interested in working on it. I do feel sorry for the guy that put in charge, he doesn't deserve the rash he's going to get over it...
I doubt they'll have it ready by the deadline date either, they were screwing it up already last night by putting in the cage before measuring for the tires and then had to rip it back out again and redo it, one day's work lost right there alone. I also see there's some negativity by the crew doing the project, that can't help either. I agree the owner is way too big for that thing anyway.
One other thing, if I was the owner and saw the show I would be pissed that they were talking about me and my car like they were, "this guy is a idiot, thats not the way to plan a car, he's being a pain in the ***" etc.
Boyd just needs to make wheels and fix his wifes shoes.
I saw Charlie spraying in a booth without a mask once on the show. I hope he didn't make a habit of that. I like Foose's cars but man that guy gets a lot of attention.
I like Jason, the painter on OCC who went overboard with piercings. That kid is wicked good.

Two totally different styles (of painting), dont you think? I mean -- if I wanted a straight up beautiful car paint job - Charlie would be the man (and I prefer Foose's style over Boyd Coddington's). But if I wanted a killer motorcycle with some sweet air-brushing, then someone like Justin (I think it is Justin at JB's, not Jason) would be who I would want.
I think Justin did the Jet Bike, right? The Jet Bike is still my favorite OCC bike. (But that Statue of Liberty one was cool too).
whats up with that reproduction body?? original doors and trim would never fit right on that thing! I can't wait to see how they tackle lining all that stuff up....but i agree with someone on an above post, If i were to have the money to make a twin turbo 1200hp C2 with air conditioning....i definitely would take it to Troy Trepanier...NOT Boyd Coddington!
