Default Did I pay too much?

I am just curios. I bought a 1982 White with blue interior.(just the color I wanted) I have been looking for a while so this is the one I bought.
1982 original motor
All lights and guages work
T-tops
all glass good
a/c works
heat works
interior looks good carpet is a little faded but better than the rest I have looked at

What impressed me the most is how nice the car drove and rode. It felt 100% better than the others I have tested. All I have test drove have been rough and sloppy this one is tight.

It has a few cracks on the body and the paint is dull but it is the originel paint job.

It was the best one I have found so I bought it.

$5500 Is this too much?

I forgot the only thing I found wrong was the a/c blows out the heater vents instead of the top vents.

Does anybody know how to fix this? I guess its a vaccum line off but where.

There is a round plastic dial that is connected to the selector arm and has a block of vacum hoses connected to it, the one that changes it from ac to vent to heat....ect. Anyway that is leaking, mine did the same thing when I got it and had to replace it too. They are easy to replace and I got mine from the local Chevy dealer for 9 bucks. If you need any help trying to replace it email me.

Price sounds fair on your car.

IMHO, you did great.
I originally paid $5500 for my '81 5 yrs ago.
Since then I spent over $18k making it what I wanted and what I thought GM should have built. Thank God my ol' lady is very tolerant.

Sounds like you did better than a lot of us. I paid more for mine and it has some major problems.

I agree with everyone. Sounds like $5500 is a whale of a deal.
