Default C5 emblems on a C3 - need info.

I want to change out the stock emblems on my 1980 to those of a C5 or maybe even a C6. I like the newer emblems and my car has more non-1980 parts on it than stock parts so I think a little change like this will help to remove the dated look, especially that rear "Corvette" lettering. That damn thing screams "stuck in the '80's. It is NOT a timeless style.

I need to get some information first. I know the front emblem and the gas tank emblem are mounted with studs through the body panel. Do the C5 emblems mount the same way? Or do they mount with glue or tape?
Will the C5 emblems cover the holes left from removing the stock 1980 emblems?

Also, I am thinking of changing the rear "Corvette" letters to newer versions as well. Does the stock 1980 "Corvette" mount with tape / glue or posts? If posts, how far apart are they.

Oh -- and if you don't like the idea of changing emblems from old to new, please don't post it here. I want to get ideas on how to make this work, not hear about how this is not NCRS or that you don't like the way they look.

Did you do this on your car? I thought you did. If so, can you post some pictures, please?

Default Many new emblems are just glued on.

Picked up a pair of Z06 emblems at a swapmeet for $2. Wanted to mount them on my narly looking C3 (that's if i live long enough to c it run) just for humor until i can afford good paint. Anyways they are just held on by adhesive no mounting posts. Looks like black 3M weatherstrip glue to me.
Hope this helps. BTW the Z06 metal emblems sell through Ecklers for 'bout $15. But the emblem i was looking for that goes on my L98 center bolt vlv covers is 'bout $50 - 2 X more than paid for the covers. And that 1 on the vlv cover is glued on too.

Both the front and rear emblems are stuck on with double-sided foam tape, but the front emblem has two mounting pins for alignment - the rear does not.

No, I just figure if I can run with the big boys in the C5's on the track and on the street maybe I could look like them too ????

No, I just like the more modern look. I really like the C6 logo but I don't know if they will work for what I want to do. I will check them out at the next car show and see if they are big enough.
