Default Engine Rebuild Shop

I am looking at getting my engine rebuilt (78 L-48, not matching).

Does anyone know a good shop in Northern Idaho/Eastern Washington?

How would one go about evaluating a shop to see if they were decent?

My other question is on a slightly different topic. I want to put a FI system on it when I get some more money, would I be best to just have the shop ignore the top end for now? Or would I be better off to wait until I can afford the FI system and put in on at the same time?

One of the best bang for your buck ways to get an FI engine is pick up a used LT1 from a 90's camaro ~ 300rwhp @ 25mpg! You could also take the stock 6 speed tranny with it. There are some modifications required to your vette to get it all installed, probably best done by a pro.

That engine has an L82-spec cam! Put a decent set of heads on there...and that engine would be simply excellent...

I was thinking of buying that eninge since it's a great bang for the buck. But I'll just save for a 383..or maybe a Big block ( depends how long my current engine lasts before it needs rebuilding )

You can put a 500 hp 350 in a vette but it's still a SB, god I want a BB
