cheap chrome (air filter top)

Anybody try some of these cheap chrome parts that pop up on Ebay?

Anyways, 30 bucks for a 73 chrome air cleaner lid sounds pretty cool.
Unless it's junk.
I've seen similar chrome "kits" for valve covers, master cylinder covers, etc.
Any wisdom?

I bought mine from one of the Corvette parts places Ecklers or Corvette Central one of those places and I think that's all I paid was about $30

It's just a air cleaner cover, doesn't have to cost $400

It looks like Ecklers and other "big" catalogs have cheap crome covers for 68-72, but want $100+ for the 73-75 years. I can't see why, other than less demand.

It says right in the add that its a stocker but they triple chrome plate them..Cant beat that!

So did you get rid of the dual-snorkel thingy, and go with the style of the earlier C3s?

Your engine compartment certainly looks clean! I hope someday to get mine that clean...but sometimes I'm a realist.
