Anyone from the States or Canada gonna partake in the Canada Connonball ??

Should be a blast.

http://www.cannonballruneurope.co.uk/e a blast.

Think last week or so, Tim - the organiser has been in the States, etc, on TV chatting about the events in genersl - some of you may have seen it.

http://www.cannonballruneurope.co.uk/

Personally, very much looking forwards to it all - and meeting up with like minded people.

After looking at what they charge ($8000) vs. what you get (7 days of hotels and meals) combined with the goal of the run (55 mph average) I think somebody should go back to grammer school to re-learn basic math. What a scam. Why would I pay somebody over $1100 a day for the honours of driving on public roads?

Oh wait! I just re-read the advert- they throw in official decals and door numbers. That's different, where do I sign up?

Well, you gotta pay for the fun in life.

I just did the winter one to Val d'isere and when I worked it all out - it was more than a bargain.

You just could not do all the things involved for the same price - its only bulk buying that gets the prices down.

The individual costs of lift passes, hiring snow mobiles, go carts, cars, dining out every night, equipment, ski guides, etc, far exceeded the cannonball price.

There is so much goes on that is not mentioned with the advert - but kept secret till the day.

EG, free entry and use of VIP sections of the nightclubs.

Why do anything when you can watch it on TV ??

Its being there that tickles the brain cells.

So, the lack of responce seems to suggest that either the entire Vette club is strapped for cash or no one trusts their Vette to make it across Canada and back.

Or maybe Vette owners don't want to pay $8,000 to drive slower than they usually do just for some decals.
