69 door lock adj?
Steve
It is one of the hardest things I ever had to do. I did it because I was putting the car back together after a paint job. I did mine with no window felts on the outside and no inside door trim panel.
The lever on the bottom of the push handle assembly has a rod dangling from it. At the lower part of this rather bent rod is a threaded knuckle. That knuckle has a pin that attaches to the latching mechanism.
The trick is to remove the clip from the knuckle pin so you can pull it out of the latching mechanism. After you have pulled it out, you can rotate it on the rod to lower it farther down the rod. Then you have to stab the knuckle pin back into the latching mechanism, and put the clip back on the knuckle pin.
To reach this, you have to remove the inner door trim, and plastic seal if it is there. There is a large cover plate on the lower middle part of the door with 4 screws holding it down. Remove it, and roll the window up almost all the way up. Reach up through the whole behind the window until you can get the knuckle pin. You may have to remove a plastic water catch that is below the handle. The screws are on the door jam. Once that plastic piece is out of the way, you should be able to reach the darn thing.
By the way, if your arm is short, you aren't going to reach.
