Default Cheap 17" TTII's

Okay guys, I am officially on the bandwagon. I've saved the cash and am going to buy 17" TTII's for my black '75. Can anyone reccomend the cheapes place to get them?

Better yet, can you guys post where you got them and what you paid, so everyone can compare notes?

Also, what do I want? If I understand correctly, the standard here is 8 inches wide, 4 inch backspacing, with 255/50's on them right?

Thanks alot guys!

Ready? Hold on!!
Here's what I've come up with so far.
If you order on line from https://www.newstalgiawheel.com/ they have a deal going if you buy the wheels and tires as a package they mount, balance, and ship for free. The wheels (w/center caps) themselves at $225 seemed to be a good price. But the tire price is where they "hide" or jack up compared to Tire Rack. The package price for (4) 17"X8" (4"BS) and BFG g-force kdws 255/45/17 (26.1" tall) was $1584 (on line only). $900 wheels/$684 tires, or $171 ea tire. The Tire Rack has the tires for $151 ea(was, today=$135ea), then add tax and shipping which would get you back up to $171 ($155 ea today?).

So far the package price from above would be best over all. But now
the $775 ($194ea) plus 65 shipping could help offset the costs.
(My head hurts!) Does this price include center caps?

$775+65+(151*4)604+80($20ea shipping guess)=$1524 for your total
$1524+$120(30ea*4) (mount&balance at at shop near you)=$1644!
Mount and balance price may change in your area but typically it's about $10-15 mount and another $10-15 for balancing.

Again, as long as you order online from https://www.newstalgiawheel.com/ you'll get they're best deal. When I called they qouted, (over the phone) $1700/set delivered.

That's what I found yesterday. Prices at Tire Rack have changed since yesterday, so maybe Luke@TireRack could help on this one.
Your $840 wheels + $540 TireRack(no ship=1380)(w/$20ea ship)=$1460.
Plus the local mount and balance deal again.

Sorry for rambling, but I'd like to save as much money as possible.

I bought my TTIIS used from a forum member. Got a great deal as they are only a couple months old. Looked brand new. I got a set of Fuzion W rated tires from Tire Rack. They are made by Bridgestone and Tire Rack tested them and gave them great reviews. I paid about 1100 total for wheels tires mounting and balancing. I have only driven them about 50 miles and they are a huge improvement over the BFGs I had. I went with 255 45 17 tires. Can't wait for spring and some autoX. If you shop around they deals can be found.

These are still going for those interested. Seem to be one of the best prices. $725/set 4 + $99 ship = $824. Talked to TireRack, guy said they will be handling these hopefully next month. Then you'll be able to buy already mounted and balanced.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7954806552

Also recommended Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval for the size and mostly summer driving that I'll be doing. 255/45/17's $134ea add about $10-15 per tire for shipping I guess.http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

I seriously doubt it.

AR TTIIs for around $200 a piece delivered. Buy them. Make sure you order the right size. Order the tires from tire rack (Fuzions). My sig shows what they look like. Gordon has the best size, mine are slightly lower. (his are 255/45, mine are 245/45).

I got mine from Liverpool32s email buddy for $415 for two plus two from Liverpool32. It was about the same price.
