[B]Anyone know where I can purchase a replacement high-beam switch pedal for my 70'?
The pedal is located underneath the carpet and is attached to the floorboard with 2 rivets.
As this is a moving part, the platic-type "hinge" from the pedal to the mounting plate just split apart.
My 70' Assembly Guide does not show this pedal as part of the high-beam switch so I don't know the Part#. In addition, most of the parts suppliers like Ecklers, CC, CA, Zip...do not show it as available.
Thanks for your input.

Reason: Clarification
If you just need a high beam switch, they were used in many different chevys for about 20 years, and you can get one at any auto parts place for about $8.00.

Switch is Ok. I'm looking for the plastic pedal that fits over the switch. It looks something like the accelerator pedal except it's smaller and made of solid black plastic.
I was recently looking for the same switch pedal you are looking to get for my 70. After looking at all the corvette supplier magazines that I have, I called Paragon about some other parts and while I was on the phone with them I asked about the availability of this part thinking I had just missed it in the catalogs. I was told that they didn't know of anyone reproducing this part and that that could sell me a good used one for about $60.00. Now I am used to paying more than what would seem normal for corvette parts but I just couldn't handle that one. I put my old one back together wiyh black duct tape on both sides of it and riveted it back to the floor.

Amazing! That's exactly what I did back in 89' when I replaced the carpet the first time. This time, I thought I'd try replacing the pedal. But at $60 duckets, I'm with you! Duct tape and rivets it is!!! PS: Stopped by the Chevy dealer just to hear them NOT have my part once again (they failed as usual). Manufacture of the pedal was halted by Chevy in 81'. Thanks for your input 70 Muscle.
I have a good one that I remove about a month ago but let me check tonight to make sure that it is not cracked or anything and I will send it to you for free.
I have been looking for a part like this that I can reproduce. I own a small injection molding company in Tonawanda NY and a major Corvette nut all my life. A have owned a 61, 67, and now a 69 frame off. If I can get this going I would sell these parts to forum members at cost. What do you think?
This might be a good candidate for reproduction as I have not seen one for sale anywhere.
I just stumbled across this item from an aftermarket supplier but I think it came out of a car and is not currently being reproduced by anyone. You may want to research how many years used this item to give you an idea of what your potential market might be. I know it was used in my 68 but not sure of what other years. Fropm reading this thread, it appears they break at the hinge point so it might be a part that would sell well. Keep my name as I would buy a second one to have as a spare if you do in fact decide to reproduce these at a somewhat reasonable price. (68 Coupe interior plastic lamp lenses are also very hard to find and VERY expensive)
