I recently purchased some Olds Aurora side mirrors and installed them on my '69. They replaced the Camaro Rally Mirrors that have been on the car for years. I never did like the original single chrome mirror so that was replaced in 1970. For you "original" guys, this might be obscene, but they are very functional and a vast improvement over the tiny rally mirrors. The installation was tough and I opted not to install the wiring which would have allowed electric remote adjustment and heat. Since I'm the only one who drives the car, they are set up for me and you can still adjust them manually if you choose. I am going to try to post a few pix of the car. The one of the mirrors alone are the new ones and the ones of the whole car show the old ones.
I've added three more pictures of the mirrors. A friend was visiting from Australia so he's the "star" of the pix. You can see several different views of the Aurora mirrors. These are not the same as the C5's.
The upholstery was done by yours truly about twenty something years ago. The door panels were a bitch but I learned a lot about sewing. The hardest part of all was the drivers side instrument cluster with the tach, the speedo and (ugh!) the headlight switch. You have to sew a cone into the hole and it's tough to do. It did come out pretty good. I'm getting ready to retire soon and will do this project again with a complete restyling of the interior.
You can find the Aurora mirrors on ebay. I got these for $9.00 each. They retail for several hundred dollars. These are fantastic mirrors and allow the driver to see very well what's going on behind him. I should have done this years ago. You can also find the original Aurora switch which electronically controls the movement of both mirrors and the mirror heater. I am the only driver of this car (normally) so it wasn't worth the time and effort to install the wiring and switch. Maybe next time around.....
Also, while I'm here please note the car has just had new motor mounts installed. The originals were cracked and broken and were causing shift/linkage problems. I can't believe how much more solid the car feels now. Just like new!!!

They look great- really interesting. Are you interested in selling the rallye mirrors? I live in SF and have been looking for a set- time to get rid of the single chrome one. Just doesn't look right on my '76 rubber bumper.
