Performer Air Gap
Will a Edelbrock Performer Air Gap Intake fit under a stock 1980 hood with a drop base air cleaner? Anyone have this? Pics? I'm looking to put this plus a Performer 600 cfm carb on. And possibly a MSD HEI distributor and 6AL box. Any other suggestions for some quick bolt on power? Brand of Headers, Heads, etc?

I am going to say yes, it will fit. I have seen many posts with this question on this forum, and there are lots of guys with 73-up c3's that have made that intake fit under the hood with an off the shelf air cleaner.
I have a 69, so I can't tell you from experience, but the Air Gap was close to fitting with my small block hood and a huge drop base air cleaner...and my hood is shorter than yours.
