Default C3 Carpet & Leather: BEST VALUE?

C3 Leather & Carpet: BEST VALUE?

Your $.02 would be appreciated!

I'm replacing the Leather seat covers in my 70' vert. What company offers the BEST VALUE for the money? Here's an overview of the insanity I'm witnessing:

Leather Seat Covers by....

Corvette Central: $449 pair
Wilcox: $293 pair
The Last Detail: $386 pair
Al Knoch: $790 pair
Zip: 459.95 pair
Corvette America: $459 pair

Are the seat covers sold by these vendor correct, i.e. 70' = vertical stitch pattern? Is the leather quality different or are they all "pulling" from the same manufacturer? Why the premium for Al Knoch?

Similar situation with cut-pile carpeting. I returned the carpet set from Corvette Central (just terrible!) and am looking for another supplier (all other items received from CC have been outstanding).

Thanks for your assistance

Al Knoch has the correct weave or pattern your car originally came with. Some of the others are now buying their covers offshore. You get what you pay for.

Most Carpet except Al Knoch is made by ACC. ACC is usually reasonably good stuff. NCRS says Al Knoch is the closest to original.

Seat covers are as mentioned, you get what you pay for.

Default Carpet & Leather; BEST VALUE

I bought my leather seat covers , seat foam and door panels from
Corvette America . Very satisfied with the quality had very little
trouble installing them . Good fit - looks nice , heck I even
surprise myself .

I used Wilcox, and was very happy with what I got. Check out my pictures.

I used Wilcox for the carpet. (The carpet they sell is made by ACC and looks and feels great.

I went to Blomington Gold last summer in St. Charles, Illinois and had Al Knoch replace the pair of seats with original leather, seat foams, and labor for $750 at the show. They look perfect and they recovered them while I was at the show.

Thanks to everyone for your input. I ordered new seat leather and carpet from Wally Knoch yesterday. I'll let you know how it works out.

Best Regards,

James
