Default Brake line prob. Help...

Just finished with brake overhaul and some other stuff and when I had one problem with the right front steel line that connects to the steel braided hose. Whoever did it last time stipped the nut on the steel line so bad I can't get a good seal, the nut is pretty much shot. The question is, can I repair that line by cutting and reflaring and adding a new nut, of would it be just as easy to replace that whole steel line. And is that front right line buried under alot of stuff to remove. Thanks, (71coupe)

I think it would be safer and easier just to order a new line, it is attached with a bolt next to the top a-arm on each side and three bolts attach it to the front crossmember ,trace the line and find the bolts, easy job

i encountered the same situation last spring. i debated the same options and finally ended up using vise-grips. ain't pretty, but quite effective and I’ve read that many other forum members have done the same. i plan to replace all my hardlines within 5 years.

Re-flaring is an option... but since the new line is cheap and not too diffictult to install I'd go and buy a new line.... how is the rest of the lines ?? Now may be a good idea to go 'all stainless'..... it's only about $150 for the entire set and will last forever...

I think replacing the line (it's real inexpensive) would be alot safer and easier than re-flaring it. Like RedBad said, you could probably do the whole car for $150 or just the single line for $10-$15...
