Default I need a harness.

I got the C5 seats finally(thanks FastcashDave). Now I need a harness. What's a good racing harness to use? What are you guys using? I saw a few different lengths being offered too.

I heard Simpson started up again? Worth the price?

Also advised to get "cam-locks"?

Opinions?

How do you plan on mounting them? Do you have a bar behind the seats? i like my sparco 3 points, seem to work well, definately hold me in the seat and I'm 6'3 with new seat foam and I still fit fine. The 5 point harness "submarine belt" is pretty unnecessary unless you're racing in a c3, a 3 or 4 point is pleanty to hold you down. Mine have a single buckle right in the center of your lap, very comfortable, and for a harness, very easy to get in and out of. I can even (and i often do) just wear the lap belt and i just push the shoulder straps to the sides. A tip, they make harnesses that have a second buckle for the shoulder straps. This will allow you to unbuckle the harnesses and easily tip your seats foreward.

I have a "Sharkbar" to anchor the belts.

Definately get camlocks. We just installed these new RCI Platinum Series 6 points. Very nice belt and softer material. Hopefully no neck chaffing.

After much agonizing, I decided on G-Force camlocks. They were half the price of the Simpsons. A deciding factor for me was the fact that they sponsor a friend's car...

No pictures. Haven't installed them yet.

Yeah. and you have to put new ones in every two years for certification racing.

Don't have that problem LOL, mine have been in the box for quite some time..maybe the expiration date is already over.

I thought re-certification was pretty reasonable if you send them to simpson. Do you just buy new ones?

Our speed shop sells off outdated harnesses quit cheaply. I am lucky in that they are laying around here from the race teams and I got both of mine from them. They buy new each year.

Price WAS a huge factor! I wanted the Simpsons, but not really $400 worth of wanting... Knowing that G-Force was "close to home" helped ease the pain of turning away from the Simpson name.

Seats might be in but the interior might not be finished.

You're certainly welcome anytime.

I think the one I need is the "individual" which will wrap around the bar in the back.

I read in some of the descriptions that the "G-force" are "wrap around or bolt-in". Most of the other don't specify.
