I went with Hedman (PN 68090) for my 1972 with new crate 502 . Borught them direct from JETHOT. My prime reasonover was ground clearance, they have 3inch collectors vs Hooker's 3 1/2. I figured that after the sit of the pans gains going to the 502 for the old tired 350, I won't fre any performance difference. Slightly tweaking required on pass side for frame rail clearance. JETHot said coating should not crack or spall (or they would recoat for free) due to the anticapated Tweaking - and the coating didnot crack after I had to dent one primary about a 1/4 inch
tha jet hot coating is pretty flexable. i had a radiatior cooling fan coated , when i opened the box from the factory ,one of the blades was bent over ,damaged from shipping u.p.s.--i used a rubber mallet and a baseball bat(for a anvil) and straightened out the fan blade, without cracking the coating
I have a set of Hooker super comp ceramic coated headers with chrome side pipes for sale, if interested. They fit well with only minor trimming of the side panels.
Don't the Hedman have 1/4 in flanges vs 5/15 on the Hookers, and if so does the 1/4 in on the Hedman seal good? I've thinking about getting the Hedmans also because of the cheaper price.
