Default Mysterious orange box

Tracing along the wiring harness on my 79 coupe I came across a plastic orange box along the A pillar next to the glove compartment box. It is about 1.5" x 2.5" x 3/8", has the numbers 463498 near the top and 913 near the bottom and a large TOP embossed in the middle of one side. There is a 6 wire connector plugged into it and those wires lead off into the harness going back across the front of the firewall. Any Idea what this mysterious orange box is? Thanks.

It is the timer box for your interior lights. This was an optional upgraded lighting package on some vettes. If operating correctly your interior lights(Dome & under dash lights) will delay turning off after you close the door, and without the key installed.

Yeah, I had no clue what it was for until I disconnected it. I'm actually surprised that of all thing, the light delay timer still works.
