Good luck!!! I want to get the body off of mine badly, but am in need of space as well. We only have a 2 car garage and the wife won't let me take up both...and I couldn't use just one bay because I wouldn't be able to roll the chassis out into the driveway for work because of the incline of our drive. I'll be expecting pics as you progress!!!

I have seen many pictorials showing body removal and have heard several voice concern that their ceiling may not be high enough to use the straps as shown in the pictures displayed.
I have a 6 foot spreader bar that will let the straps to be much shorter by allowing each side to attach at the ends of the bar instead of all in the middle forming a pyramid that is much taller.
I believe it will be much easier to remove using this technique. jim
I never did understand that complaint. Just remove the body outside in the driveway. Then move everything around. The chassis is very easy to move without a body. The body gets put on a dolly with wheels. Just push everything back into the garage when done. I also have a spreaderbar though. We used it for the davits to hold the boat up when we had one. It would probably work fine, but I really dont see a need for it.
