Temperature Gauge
I recently had my engine torn apart to look for a squealing noise which ended up coming from my oil pump...took forever to find it. Anyway, when I got it back, I noticed that my temperature gauge wasn't working correctly. After I home, I saw that it wasn't plugged in to the coolant temperature sending unit. I plugged it up, and now the needle sits at 3 o'clock. It kind of bounces with the lope of my engine. I also saw that a longer wire was attached to the wire going to the gauge and that it was reattached to the wire that had the connector on it to plug it in to the sending unit. Could the problem be that the wires are connected well? What are your thoughts? Thanks for the help.
