Okay C3 guys, I just saw a Real beautiful dark red 1970 roadster feature in an online vette article with 17" cragar s/s wheels on it, and I am wondering if these would fit on a C2 with out the spacer / e brake problems much of an issue. The article mentions 4.5" backspace and a 8"F and 9.5"R width. I would be going with a 7" width and a 225 or 235 tire. Any info is much appreciated.
Hi: Those aluminum cragars are actually made by weld for cragar. They are really "trick" looking wheels. About fitting 'em on your "mid-year". The only thing U can & should do is find a tire place that's willing to work woth U on trying to match up wheels & tires to your Vette. Good luck & PLEASE post some pics when you get those "goodies" on your Vette.
