I think your seats are like mine... On my '73 coupe the shoulder belts are fed through the seat back near the top - a slot is provided in the outward portion of a black and chrome metal trim piece at the top of the seat for cars that came with the optional shoulder belts. If your seats are for a car that didn't, that hole will not likely be in the seat - need a new trim piece if retrofitting for a stock look. The seat belts themselves are at the sides of the seat bottom - not through it at all.
