Default need advice

i only have three months befor i have to move from virginia to california and im only about half way done with my 76 project and i was thinking that i might not have enough time to finish it. when i get there i will be station on a boat and will be underway most the time and i was thinking of maybe selling the car for 12,500 sense that is what i have in receipts just for parts or finding someone that has a c4 that is worth about that price or maybe doing a trade for a car that someone is selling for maybe up to 5,000 more than what i am thinking of selling and paying the difference. what do you guys think. i just have that thought in my head that im not gonna get this car done and its just gonna sit.

If you seel now, you will probably regret it later on in life, but then again it depends on what you replace it with....

No matter how much you have in it, I don't think you will get close to $12,500 for a 76.

sorry but i have to agree with this statement......money in parts for a project car doesn't mean squat....you are probalby better off returning what parts you can and getting your money back....you are looking at like 25 to 30 cents on the dollar for them as a collection of parts with the project car.....

That is why sometimes it is better to buy the most expensive finished car you can rather than buying a project cars since you will never get what you put into it. E-bay everything individual to get the most $ but it will be pain. Sorry bro.

AND in CA, your car will never be smog exempt. get a newer c4 (92-96) or C5, or an earlier car (pre-75). CA smog laws have changed and there is no longer a "rolling 30 year exemption, this begins 4/1/2005.

Just store it somewhere....... you never know, maybe in a year or two you have a different job/location/life and time for the car.... if you have to sell it quick you'll never get your money back...
