Don't believe it for a second fellas, So many people are playing games with eBay these days it aint funny. Many people have 3 or 4 accounts and computer and just sit around all day eBayin. If they cant get their big money they buy it with another account at an astronomicle price to make people believe they sold it. That way the Item never moves just starts again a month later under another account. Its call price fixing. Its been going on for decades. Don't let the shmucks fool ya.

I've been an Ebay user for almost ten years now...it started out really great...made the owner a billionare. Is seems like it has now become a haven of scam and con artists. It's getting hard to believe anything on there anymore.
look again.... That new account and mountain king brought the price from 1500 to 5100
Hmmm... I smell some bull shizzle going on with that one. Hard to believe someone would bid that much for this. I've seen it many times with people trying to drive the price up there. However does this idiot actually think someone will pay over 5k for these? If so, I have a grilled cheese sand. to sell them that I've had for 20 years that mold grew on it in the shape of the Guinness Harp.
but...doesn't the seller have to pay his % of the sell amount if the auction ends and reserve is met? I think he does...so wouldn't make sense to drive it up and have his 2nd or 3rd ID win, then still have to pay the %. The fees are automatically deducted from the sellers account...
i don't know....look at his feedback, and the feedback of the people he's buying this stuff from at these crazy prices.....no relation that i can see. i think this guy is legit, though rather stupid.

the guy didn't bid up himself, when you see a person's Id come up a couple of times after each other it's because someone else is trying to bid but keeps getting outbid because the other person has a higher max. price, in that case ebay bids for him automatically and raised the other persons bid by a small amount (depending of the running price of the auction)....soo, it was that 0 feedback guy, he then overbid him after a few tries and then the winning bidder wanted to oubid 0 feedback boy and have it a 1st try and failed, hence you see another bid of the 0 feedback dude...then he tried again and won. Some people here don't know how this system works.

I think most people here know how it works. The problem is that when you tend to have people with "0" feedback ratings, things get fishy when prices start going that high. Who knows, it may be legit, but I doubt it.
His username was what...796067 (something like that...too lame to look it up), could be he owns those years of vettes and is looking for those caps and never bid on anything before..as far as I know everyone has started w/ 0 feedback.
