Changing my ignition lock...?
MY '69 standard column igniton lock thumb tabs have been broken off.
What is the procedure in changing the lock tumbler with thumb tabs intact ? Source for the new parts needed for NCRS judging ? Thank you

Changing the lock cylinder is quite easy. Lock cylinders are readily available from GM dealers as well as various Corvette suppliers. I am not sure what makes one NCRS correct however.
The lock cylinder is the same regardless if you have a T&T column or a standard (non-adjustable) steering column. There are slight differences between a T&T column and the standard column in terms of the actual repair procedure. I have for both type columns posted at www.corvettefaq.com and they are identified as Disassembly & Repair Paper #1 and Disassembly & Repair Pic #1.
