Default rear spring bolts

Does anyone know where to get 9 or 10 inch rear spring bolts. I`m at the end of the stock ones and I still need to get lower.

Ecklers has the longer bolts for around $20.00/Pair. They will lower down to 3". That will put the spring very close to the inner side wall. I need to lower my rear at least 3" but I don't like possible circumstances.

I recently bought a set of 10 inch Grade 8 bolts for my 1968 from Vette Brake Products. (VBP.com) I'm pretty sure that Van Steel also sells them. Here on the west coast, Guildstrand also sells them

There was a thread a couple of weeks ago that discussed about how people were going to go the local hardware store and buy these bolts and not pay the price that VBP wanted (even though it's not very much --about $20.) From what I can tell and due to my own searches on the internet, these 10 inch 9/16 18NF bolts are not standard bolts. I found one vendor that would sell me the bolts if I bought a 100. Interesting that the quoted price for 100 bolts (@$9.00 each) was almost exactly what the price that VBP wants for 2 (two- $20). My standard fastener source (Lovelady Hardware in Torrance, California) also stated that he thought that the Corvette trailing arm bolts are not standard bolts.

I never heard that any one was able to buy these bolts, in grade 8 and 18NF from their local hardware store. I suppose it's possible, but I think not likely.

Yes, there can be a danger with the 10 inch bolts in that your rear spring and the attachment nuts can get really close to the road surface. This is another discussion!!

The VB&P 10" bolts are not listed for C3 but are the same diameter and pitch. I picked up a pair at Carlisle for US$15- show price.
