I'm getting ready to rebuild all 4 calipers and need to protect them after sandblasting. I picked up some VHT "caliper paint" from a local parts store to coat the calipers. I'm not familiar with the painting process with this paint. Should I coat the calipers with primer prior to using the VHT paint? Or can this paint be applied directly on the metal without primer and still hold well?
When I have done it in the past I just cleaned everything up real well and then sprayed one light coat after another until it was bright enough for me. But when I did it I just used High engine paint. Happy painting!
Eastwood makes a kit that is a two part epoxy paint thats as hard as nails, and they come in all kinds of colors.
Can you provide some information on this? Searched Eastwood but could not find anything. I am about to put new calipers on from VBP and I am evaluating options to protect them as well.
Thanks
Shane

If you have not already purchased them, VBP can powercoat them.
