I have been looking around the net for a set of mirrored t-tops for my 80 vette. Has anybody ever purchased from the " Sunroof Doctor " ? He advertises mirrored glass t-tops delivered in the U.S for $ 899.00 . Looks like the best deal I have come across . Thanx Brent

If your willing to spend that kind of money check Ebay. There's NOS tops (often in the GM box) on there all the time. If you find a good used set you might pay less. If the date codes on the glass are important to you Ebay may be your only shot

Sorry, I'm a bit confused by your question.
You should be able to find them on Ebay using a search like
Corvette + ttop
Corvette + T-top + 1980
"1980 T-top"
Corvette + NOS + T-top
Corvette + NOS + box + T-top
or something similar. Just look through the listings until you find a set still in the box or hunt for a good used set (ask alot of questions and get a bunch of pics). Let me know if you are asking a different question.
Hey guys, thanks for the advise. Yes, I do look on Ebay quite regular. I usually look at parts- t-tops-1980 corvette etc. Problem being the pictures I have recieved of t-tops on ebay usually turn out to have parts missing, deteriorated weather stripping , scratches, or worse , "cracks". To add insult to injury they usually want upward of $900.00 . I would have no problem replacing or fixing a small problem but the price should also reflect condition. Thus I am searching the market for 'new' . I would ideally like to but from a private forum member because I generally find thier representation of products quite reliable. Thanx Brent
haven't heard of "sunroof doctor", just learn from my experience. Bought t-tops that were used on e-bay last year. The seller said that the seals were not very good, but when I recieved them they where crap, dry rot city. So ordered complete set of seals, and tools and glue to replace them. Invested many hours into stripping seals, cleaning and glueing.Lots of time and money. Then after a couple of months, the frame has started to seperate from the glass...moe money!(and this is just the drivers sided-hadnt even started the passenger side). My advice, order from mid-america or ecklers--GO NEW!!!...IMHO
Would check out Melrose T-tops. They are a major manufacturer and
supply many of the corvette parts retailers. Have bought several sets
from them, they provided quick service and the quality was excellent.
I hear you Will. Every time I get pictures of t-top sets off Ebay they turn out to be " crap ". Kind of representative of shopping for a Corvette on Ebay. Sounds like the greatest thing until you dig a little deeper. This Dr. Sunroof sells what I think are new roof panels for $900.00 delivered. Brent
Have heard that Thompson Tops are made of lexan or plastic like material that scratches easily. I have been told to look for the glass like product of the original roofs. Brent
