Looking for a aftermarket heavy duty rear spring mount plate. I have seen pictures of this plate but cannot locate one for purchase. It's about an inch thick and looks like its made out of aluminum. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
That is what happened to mine, I torqued the mount to specs on a fiberglass spring and the stock mount bends. I believe this is what caused my glass spring to crack and spinnter a 1/4 inch strip off spring all the way across the lenth. Thanks for the replies I will have to make my own. Dave
I think the aluminum plate you are thinking of id from dragvettes.com. But it's not a spring plate. It's just an aluminum block that lowers the strut rod bracket. VBP used to make them for the spring plates but I think they discontinued those like 8 years ago.
It's so easy to make one yourself - it's not worth spending big $$$ on it.... maybe that's why VBP discontinued it ??
Would be nice if they supplied it with the fiberglass springs...
