I have the Delta flow 50s on my car and highly recomend them. They sound great not to loud but loud enough. The fit is tight but OK. They are tucked up better than the stock system is. Here you can see how they fit on my car.

i have delta 50s on my 79. I have them so the exhaust is running straight out the back. (no curved tail pipe.) Muffler is exposed about 2 inches from side view toward back of car, and you can see the back of muffler from rear view. Hope this helps

The Delta 50's are what the Flowmaster rep recommended to me for a Vette. He said I might find the 40's too loud when cruising. He must have seen that I am getting up there in years!! (43) At least he didn't recommend that I trade my Vette in for a Town Car. 
I've heard some compaints about the 40's but others love'em. It's a matter of taste, I guess.

I have the Deltaflow 40's and don't think they're too loud at all. Do what I did. Got to a car show and listen to other cars with different systems. I know it won't be exact, but you can get a good idea on how they sound.
