Paint falling off painted parts ?
I just repainted all my plastic interior parts in my car and not totally satisfied with the adhesion . I used black vinyl dye on all the plastic parts. I can remove the paint easily by scratching with my finger nail. Did I miss something , advise needed . Thanx Brent

some spray bombs tell you not to prime first,but the "paint shop"stuff recommends a specific primer.i used a rattle can and cleaned everything with paint reducer and clean rags, no primer ,it took about 5 coats of black to get it where you could not see the saddle brown thru it tho.i have had no problems (so far 1 year) as of yet.

Cleanindg is very important to remove all contamenants. Use wax and grease remover or some type of thinner this will pull out all the dirt and contamenants as well as soften the part to insure good adhesion.
