Tray. 30 seconds in or out or less. Easiest thing on the car to do.

I use the tray. Keep the window in it wraped in atowel for the whole summer. It is the best non horsepower option GM ever put in a vet. With the T Tops off and the window out it is just like a convertible with a roll bar. Awesome.

2 things..

1. The tray has locks that keep the window from sliding a rattleing. The prongs face forward and the window is wedeged under the hook in back. Then the prongs are locked down with two latches...

2. I've driven in heavy rain with the rear window out. I get more water on me from the leaky drivers side window seal than the rear window.

Just don't stop!

Use the tray a lot.

There are two different designs for the window tray. 1968 thru 1970 & early 1971 use 1st design, later 1971 & 1972's use 2nd design. Both trays are designed and shaped differently and each uses its own catch system.

No reason not to use it that I've ever seen.
