For those who have or now how to how did you put the headlights in the grill area. Is there a kit or did you just glass them in. I am thinking about doing this on my 75 so any suggestions would. help. or If any one knows the demnsions of the l-88 style see pic that would be appriciated. thanks
I was at a salvage yard today and saw this setup on a junked 75.
From the photo you posted I think it is what you are talking about. It had 4 rectangular headlights that fit within the popup light location. Then a clear plexiglass covering would have been over the top of these. Is that what you are talking about?
This 75 still had everything intact except the plexiglass.
I can give you no dates but I'm currently building a vacuform machine to make those bubble covers. The Aluminum mounts you show in your post are the same mounts I'm using for the L88 Bubbles. I'm attempting to make the whole set up non invasive. In other words you don't do any drilling or cutting on the car. The most difficult part has turned out to be the bubble, but I'm working with a Motorcycle valence former to come up with a perminant aluminum mold. Difficult, time consuming and slow, but I'm the turtle, I'll get there. Be patient.
