Default Edelbrock Performer Carb

Does anyone have the Edelbrock Performer Carb part #1901, the Qjet replacement? What are the opinions on this carb?

I put one on mine last summer. Runs well right out of the box. I didn't want to mess with rebuilts or reconditioneds, but I saved the original to restore down the road. No regrets and complete peace of mind knowing everything is brand spankin' new.

The 1901 is a good carb, and it will run well. It is jetted very lean from Edelbrock in order to get the "50-State Legal" certificate: it is set up with the "truck" jetting spec. You can get much better throttle response and power out of it if you bump the primary jet size up a couple of sizes for Vette use.

Not hard...once you learn how to do it the first time!

It is visually the same, and it interchanges. Jetting and internal calibrations are different.

Yes. It's essentially the same carb.
