According to the Haynes manual the headlights are not fused at all. There is a circuit breaker located in the light switch itself. After that the power runs to the highbeam/lowbeam switch then to the bulbs then to ground. Unfortunetely the Haynes manual electrical schematics are not the best since they give one schematic for all years 68 through 82. If you want good schematics for your car try this guy - Don Olson - vetsvette2002@yahoo.com.
If you have a voltmeter see if you have power at the bulbs. If you do and the bulbs are good then check the ground. If there is no power at the bulbs then work back until you find a component that has power going in but not coming out. If you have goes-ins and no goes-outs then you found your bad component.
yes the bulbs are good. I have 2 headlights switch and I changed it and samething? when I turn them on everything turns on but the headlights. so if it doesnt have a fuse where exactly is the circuit breaker? in the switch? or nest to it???
mine did the same thing one night, but they came back on. If your fuses are OK, same with the bulbs it could be the switch or the highbeam/lowbeam switch. If I remember correctly, there are 3 blades on the HI/lo switch. One is for power, one for low and one for high beams. If you unplug the electrical connecter, make a jumper wire that goes from the power socket to either the high or low beams. If it lights up the bulbs, you know the switch is bad.
does your car have floor mounted high beam switch? if so, check to see if it has come apart and replace if necessary. if that is not working,it breaks the whole circuit(at least in my jeep and camaro, havent had that problem on the vette...yet lol)
good luck!
ok I know what's the problem is the red cable that goes to the switch. but I dont know where the red cable runs to. does anybody can help me with that?? pls

BINGO! Glad I read down the list before I posted. Sometimes my lights don't come on, and I have to kick the high beam switch to get them lit. :o
I found the problem. the red cable that goes to the switch comes from the starter so that cable touched the manifold so it got cooked but I fixed it already
thanks anyways
