Motor head. E-mail me your address and I'll send you a short plug.

I got 8 on next day air and I already had 8 paid for down here at summit racing. I only needed one short plug and after the welding job i won't need any. I've got them coming out my A$$

I have a friend of a friend deal working right now the plan is to cut all the passenger side pipes off of the flange and add a 1/2 inch to each primary pipe. Then I'm going to grind and polish the inside and out and have them refinished.

You throw enough time and money at anything you can correct all the crap that the vendors sell us that doesn't fit.

MIKE - Indexing plugs gets that last extra 10 HP. I draw a line on the plug with a black felt marker in line with the electrode. You "Index" them in. The open side of the plug gap should end up exposed to the cylinder chamber towards the exhaust valve. Instead of me telling you read this I just at random did a search. Just remember the chambers might act slighty different so it's testing also.

Thanks George. I'll try that out before I reinstall the heads to see how I do

Besides if you bend it too much it will hit the header while installing.
Matt are you smoking something these days?????

it is amazing what tools you have at your disposal!
Who has a glass oven!
The center wires that i've seen are very thick ~3/16 and might require some practice to bend artfully enough. I'd smash the glass on an old plug to practice cold first.
I'd assume the header would be best left unbolted and loose for easy installation. I'd also assume it could take a box of molten plugs just to get the hang of it. If anybody can do it, it's you.

We have ovens in the lab capable of 2500 degrees C. I keep one idleing at 1300 degrees C. A glass blower torch was only $450 years ago and runs off gas and oxygen.
To me even if you could bend the plug is mice mouse/ bubba.
Can you imagine having to loosen the headers to remove a plug. Or the difficulty of getting a box end wrench into the already crowded space.
If you bend the plug 1/4 inch that means the plug really gives tight when the bend is against you.
After installing what about the bend facing the wrong way.
No I feel bending plugs is not an option unless again you are Bubba.
I will bend a plug just for the fun to see if I can do it but I would never take it serious or consider it a fix for a problem.

say what you want about bubba.
he usually gets the car fixed fast, if not properly. he makes a temporary fix that he, sadly, forgets about
Norval, at least you have an open mind to new ideas. True Bubbas don't.

Would be interesting if you could just melt the end and remove a little of the ceramic and then cut about a 1/4 in. off the electrode, re-thread the top portion and presto you have a custom shorty plug, wonder if a cutting wheel will go thru that ceramic ?
