Mine was just finished a few months ago. Local shop dropped it off lift. Body damage was minor.Dent in oil pan, chunk out of bell housing, frame tweaked slightly as it settled on rear cap.

It went in for clutch. They were just 10 minutes from completing clutch job, when the hydraulic lift "jumped",and the car rotated down to the rear, slowly, and was sitting on the rear bumper. Heh.

Came out all fixed,(frame shop fixed tweak)new rear bumper,new paint,decals(all) new clutch,pan,bell housing,no cost,of course.

Have owned it since 1979,and never damaged.....have got over this now....Road test ok,handling etc....
Was on this forum before....after incident,I dropped out.I am a recovering Corvette addict now....

Love that color scheme.

When I bought my 78 it was maroon, but the previous owner said it was originally Silver Anniversary Paint, but the paint code on the trim tag is 13-Silver, so I was sceptical. When I had it repainted, I went with the Sliver Anniversary colors, even though it may not have been that way originally. I got my copy of the original dealer invoice from GM a couple a weeks ago and it listed B2Z (Silver Anniversary Paint) as one of the car's options. Made my day.

The codes are 13U (upper) and 07M (lower) on my tag(78 Sil Anniv.).Just had mine done, second time in 26 years.Do you have the Oyster interior ? That is code 122 on your tag.
This time I left the Hood decal off.Looks better without it,IMO.

Trim tag shows an interior color code of 192 - Black Leather.

gh78,

Does your trim tag have both color codes 13 and 07?

I also plan to restore mine to it's original SA paint scheme one day when I've completed body issues. Right now it's wearing 2 colors of primer sealer with clear coat. When I got it the original paint was badly sun burned, so we sanded and threw a temp paint job on it. I want to replace the urethane nose first and possibly the rear. I also have a complete new oyster interior to put in (less the door panels so far). I don't care how many were painted this way, it's the 25th anniversary edition, there won't ever be another!

I'll look at trim tag when I get to Body shop this week and let you know, I do know for a fact it was a true Silver Aniversary as I have original invoice.
