It went in for clutch. They were just 10 minutes from completing clutch job, when the hydraulic lift "jumped",and the car rotated down to the rear, slowly, and was sitting on the rear bumper. Heh.
Came out all fixed,(frame shop fixed tweak)new rear bumper,new paint,decals(all) new clutch,pan,bell housing,no cost,of course.
Have owned it since 1979,and never damaged.....have got over this now....Road test ok,handling etc....
Was on this forum before....after incident,I dropped out.I am a recovering Corvette addict now....

When I bought my 78 it was maroon, but the previous owner said it was originally Silver Anniversary Paint, but the paint code on the trim tag is 13-Silver, so I was sceptical. When I had it repainted, I went with the Sliver Anniversary colors, even though it may not have been that way originally. I got my copy of the original dealer invoice from GM a couple a weeks ago and it listed B2Z (Silver Anniversary Paint) as one of the car's options. Made my day.
