They use only the finest materials, and the hand crafted stiching is a work of art. This picture isn't the best, but the wheels are

I agree! I recently sent an OEM factory wheel to them to be redone. They were fast, efficient, and returned a high quality item to me. Their prices are very reasonable. They also kept me well informed via e mail as to shipping, etc.

Do they have a buy it outright price? I have the original steering wheel in mine and have thought about a smaller wheel for easier egress/ingress.

Please define "reasonable"? I have a steering wheel in BAD need of work or replacing.
I know replacements run about $200, but this might be a different option if the price is right....

Sounds good, but we need prices. Does he sell new and refurbs, or does he just restore what you send him? I am in the market for a new steering wheel.

Does he have a website?

My steering wheel also needs to be rewraped. I have been quoted $200 to have mine done by Corvette America.

Chuck is a nice guy and gives forum members a discount.

I believe after you send your wheel to the big name people mentioned that they turn around and ship it to Chuck to be re-wrapped.

I have one to going to him soon. He will wrap the '69- 73 old style wheels in leather with a light padding. I want one of them for my El Camino. Jim

ProSouth is correct---The Peltons do the work for all the main corvette vendors. Cut out the middle man (the vendor) and you will save money. E mail the Peltons directly and they will e-mail you back a quote. That is how I dealt with them. Note that they will also wrap the 69-74 wheel with leather that matches your interior. I had them also do that for my 73 OEM wheel and was very pleased with the result.

I'd like to see a picture of your wheel.

I do agree with Eddie that it would be nice to get a smaller diameter wheel.

Eddie, I sent an email your way, I have an '80 small steering wheel core I can drop off to you at EXPO. I think I have $25 in it.

The '69-74 leather wrapped and lightly padded wheel was actually a rare option for 1969. I do not know for sure that it was available on our Corvettes, but it was an option on the '69 Camaros. A picture of one is shown on Classic Industries web site for Camaro parts.

I don't know why it bounced back, that is correct.

I was wrong, it's actually chuckpelton@comcast.net

Tom,
Off-topic. Can you give me a good price for a Harrison surge tank for a 1967? Need not be dated.
