Gen light turned on??
my 79' "Gen" light just turned on after installing and taking out a disconnect switch which cost me 20 bucks and lots of anger. car wouldnt start with the disconnect switch installed so i take it out and the car starts fine, then i see the Gen light goes on....if anyone read my previous post they would have read that my Ground wire from the Alternator to the Radiator Support was fried about 8 inches up from where it connected to the Altternator. so i opened the hood and the wire looked Extra Cripsy...with a side order of Oh sh1znit. i also havent fixed the Hot lead going to the Alternator which had been BUBBA spliced before i got the car and was soldered and electrical taped together, very crapily i might add. Oh, and i dont have my Ground strap from the Engine to the Block hooked up either, another pre-BUBBA move.. any reason why my Gen light would be on? and how do i turn it off.

junction block next to the battery? are u talking about the Fuse box junction block? im confused. i really need to fix this thing cuz i wanna drive her after it stops raining here in Kalifornia. oh, i neglected to say that when the Gen light turned on my Ammeter/Voltmeter whatever it is went from +16 to about +13 where it hasnt been since i replaced the alternator the first time on this car. i've done alternator swaps on this car like 3 times now, and each time it always says im nearly overcharging and i cant figure out why.
