This article I found on the web states that a positraction diff was standard on the 1980 Corvette. Searching today I have noticed several sites advertising positraction diffs for 1980 - 82 Corvettes. I don't know much about diffs but having just replaced the side yokes and seals recently on my 80 I did not spot any clutches in my casing ? Was positraction an option, and the article incorrect, or has my diff been replaced or do I need thicker glasses ??

Posi has been standard since 1970. The clutches are plates stacked together around the side gear in the carrier,the yoke slide through them.
I don't know if yo need glasses,sorry.

Does this then explain the difference in yoke lengths, and that the clutches are hidden in the casing to the right hand side ( from the rear view ).
