According to my GM parts cat., group 3.278, number 355786 was used from 1976 to 1982.
3/8-18 with 4 ports: two 3/16" and two 1/4". Note 1: cap unused outlets as required with 343350 cap
Looks like a good number on GM Parts Direct... but holy poo... list is about $54 and net is about $33.
The only other vacuum fitting listed for 1979 is 1369465 which is a single port like Pauls.
473381 is also listed but it is a reducing bushing apparently... 5/8-18 to 3/8-18. Probably used with the 355786.
Tom454, I have an older AIM that lists 2 parts, one with 2 ports, 1 with 3 ports. Generally when I give these numbers to Chevy they have to keep checking because the numbers have been superceded. I'll try the numbers you have , thx very much. 33 bux is expensive!! Maybe thats why it's not available in the aftermarket catalogs.
If you don't care about originality and want function... the 3 port 77 manifold vacuum fitting should work just fine. Also, "Year One" sells a variety of vacuum fittings that will work for your application. I purchased a three port low profile (to clear Holly carb) metal vac fitting from them when I had my 77.

Silvr77,
Checked year one, they go up to 75. I saw the low clearance port for Holly carbs and that would work but I would have to cut the tranny line that comes in from the top and have it come in from the side. Not a big deal but was looking for the right fitting.
