I have a fox body as my DD as well. Unfortunately, it only gets 15mpg. I think my vette does better.

As long as you keep the vette, you're forgiven.

I have been looking for something a little cheaper on gas for myself also. I haven't been driving the vette as a DD but, my truck is just as hard on gas if not harder. I have been thinking about a Honda Civic also.

Had to do the same thing. Company used to pay for all gas and oil and on 1/1/05 they stoped. I was driving a full size convesion van as DD. I dumped that thing for '00 Solara. Better mileage, but I had to give up my tailgating party van.

I have an '82 pickup that gets 10 mpg. The Vette is cheaper, but I'd rather not drive it everyday. I'm looking for a used Honda Prelude now.

Mine is a Charcoal-Grey '93 Dodge Dynasty, but I added $19.99 artificial chrome "Pimp-Daddy" hub-caps:
nothing like driving-around in the "chicks-be-digging-me" pose in that 'lump'.....

My dd is a 98 Mustang V6 5speed. I get 28-29 mpg on my 30 mileeach way trip to work. It's nothing like the Vette, but I've put 137000 on it and only had to do brake pads and the AC clutch.

You're a better man than I. There are a lot of things I would admit to before I admitted to that.

Just talked to a friend of mine who is in Germany ... he reported gas prices to be 1.25 Euro per liter (1 Euro = 1.30 USD, 3.89 liter per gallon).... hmmm 6.32 USD per gallon....

I'd ride a bicycle........or walk......

It's E1.34 here, Germany is about 10 cents cheaper. We're close to 7$ a gallon..and my truck gets about 4 km on 1 liter (that's about 10mpg).... now why do you think i drive it only on weekends and to haul stuff

Unless you got the car for free, this was a bad move from an economic standpoint. It doesn't make any sense. I suspect you just really like Mustangs...
