Default Conversion U Joint? Need help!

I got my C4 aluminum driveshaft today. Perfect fit for the 5 speed conversion. The U joint in the front that connects to the tranny yoke fits perfectly. The very same u Joint that goes into the differential is to narrow (between straps) Does someone make a conversion u joint to mate to the driveshaft then wider to mount to the rear yoke? If someone does, who and please...please give me a part number for the standard front yoke and the "conversion" rear yoke I need. Thanks...this thing is close to moving on it's own and this one little hang up is stalling me...

JL...what do you mean "narrow"? the U joint is not going to go to the end of the straps but should fit snug in the yoke on the diff...jk

"narrow" meaning outside cup to cup (of the u joint) in driveshaft is narrower than out cup to cup (of the u joint) of the diff...tranny yoke is the same as the driveshaft...does this make sense?

OK. I was just looking at the catalogs...it does appear that you rear could be different than the front...depends on the year.

I had a similar problem on a firend's car last year. I took the measurements to my NAPA dealer. He fixed me right up with the u- joints to fix the problem.

Yes, they are made! I was lucky enough to have a NAPA dealer that obviously stocked that item. I don't know the name of the manufacturer right off the top of my head. But I would call someone liek Drive Train Specialists to see if they can point you in the right direction. Surely, there are others out there that have gone thru a similar experience.

Good luck!

ok...this lists conversion joints but part numbers have changed so often...what joint do I need for the rear of the shaft going into the diff? The shaft joint length is 3.250 end to end...the diff is 3.675 end to end (cap to cap) Anyone???
