Thanks CF77.... and BTW... thanks again for the valence. Weather sucked so didn't get a chance to talk much.... but definitely liked the '77.

I'm using a Permacooln16"(same as Oliver) , I have YET to drive it in 100degree heat, but have driven it through stop and go traffic (no traffic jams) at 80 degrees and it never got above 185degrees. I do have an aluminum radiator also. It's starting to warm up here and the first HOT day, I'll shoot you an IM. I have a spare one at the shop to be mounted if the single one doest suffice. If it does, I'll sell you the spare in the box.

i'm running Dual Fans (flexalites) on my 383..runs perfect..stays under 180 all day long..I cruise right around 172 degree, might climb to about 178 in traffic..I also run straight distilled water with 2 bottles of water wetter and a bigazz Griffin Al radiator.

I use the NASA theory.

If one is good, two is better.

I like redundancy. You can do custom setups with duals. Such as have one run constant and the other on a thermostat. Or have one on a thermostat and the other hooked up to run via a switch or when the A/C is on.

There was a Spal rep. at SEMA that was telling me about a fan controller they are working on. It would start spinning up one fan as needed until it hits 100% then it would start up the next fan. It slowed the fans and speed them up instead of sudden start / stop / start / stop.
So far I haven't seen anything on their web page about the controller. I am going to call them this week.

Thanks. Not particularly interested in getting in a discussion of brands per se. Just wondering which size to go with.

Thanks again!
Am running 1 16" ~ 2900 cfm <10 amp draw. Had it for 2 years with no problems. If you want to know MFG, E-Mail me.

I'll post it here. Its just that it takes me longer to get the pics on my broadband hosted site. I'm a little lazy today. Trust me, my fan mount is nothing special to look at. But it does get the job done.
