Interior Buzzer in my 73' Coupe

1. See that ignition key is pushed all the way into the ignition switch.
2. Open the driver's door, and observe the lit dome lamp.
3. If both the dome lamp and buzzer fail to operate, check the dome lamp fuse, then the door switch for defects. A realigned door may mean the self adjusting door jamb switch must be replaced.
4. If the dome lamp is on, but the buzzer fails to operate remove the electrical plug from key reminder buzzer which is taped to the instrument panel harness, just above the fuse panel.
5. Connect a powered light, or ohmmeter across the contacts of the buzzer. Continuity should be read across the buzzer normally closed contacts.
6. If continuity is read through the buzzer contacts then check the steering column harmonica connector circuits 159 (black wire) and circuit 140 (orange wire).
7. If the buzzer did not operate, but the circuit showed continuity, replace the buzzer.
From what I can see the easiest thing to do in my case is to unplug the key reminder buzzer from atop the speedometer housing so I never have to hear this thing again.
