I need help here ---- I ahave an 81 that the fuel gauge does not work . The gauge worked 3 years ago when I bought it ---fo about a month --now nothing ---- The gauge always reads full --so we have to write the milage down and work the fill-ups in that way .
Soo anyone with steps to follow ---or had simialr issues that resolved this problem ??

I have to get the minor work done on the 81 --so the "misses" will leave me alone to play with the new 68 convertable 427 I just bought in October --- That I am doing a frame off reto on .

Sounds like the sending unit has gone bad.

Someone not too long ago changed the sending unit on their '80 without dropping the tank. They said if fit through the filler door.

I will check that option first ---- The gauge is reading over the full line all the time .
