I just bought the Neapco Brute Force from Advanced Auto Parts. They are $15 a piece. Quality looks good, but I have not installed them yet.

I wondered about those also? What would the difference be between those and Spicer? Both are talked about on 4x4 websites. They cost 1/2 as much.

My other concern about Greaseless is that I read they are not good for the street since they would have to be taken apart to lubricate often. Is this true? I wanted to use them so I don't have grease sling out from the other joints. Van Steel actually recommended using the greaseless.

Any advise would be appreciated

Default Greaseless are stronger

can take more torque since the shafts are solid. Grease type has hollow core shafts to allow grease to go thru.

I think I have 1 or 2 sets left of the Spicer solids.PM me if you're interested. I also have 1 flange plate too so you don't bend the flange working on them. Hopefully they're not already bent.

All newer cars are non greaseable...and no need to re-grease them either.

Greasless ones are meant to last about 10 years if you are worried about them after that get the ones with grease fittings. Greasless are definitely stronger and take more abuse. Which way to go is up to you.

I would say yes.

I have the greasless ones in mine. They technically have grease in them, you just add more. Sort of like a steering box really. When they U-joint needs grease it is just cehaper to replace it.

I like SPICER. SPICER Senior (or his dad) was the man I believe who invented U-joints so I figure SPICER knows somehting about making them.
