Default underhood insulation clip removal
Have a '76 vette and want to paint the underside of hood.The insulation is gone but the round clips that held it on are still there. How do they come off?

You just pull or twist them off.

I just used a putty knife, and they popped off clean.

then you can use some epoxy to glue them back on

I used a little heat from a heat gun and then the putty knife and mine came off with out any leftover mess.

Is that fur insulation for heat? How effective do you think it is? Are you going to reinstall it? Has anyone left theirs off without boiling the hood paint?
