I friend just passed by with his 79. He got new wheels installed just 100 miles ago and mentioned, that the right hand front wheel had a 1/2 inch spacer and the left hand side wheel a 1 inch spacer installed. Both tires seem to have equal distance from the fenders.
What could be the reason to have different large wheel spacers installed her.
This is for sure not desireable or good for equeal braking action etc ?
Oh, he is running the 78 Pacercar rims.
I know that the back requires different spacers. The drivers side axle flange is in further then the passengers side. This is just not my car. I seems to be all of them. Like your right foot being bigger then your left, the right side sticks out further then the left.
I guess I'm the exception to the rule... my left rear tire sticks out further than the right... I was going to post a thread in the near future asking if there was a way to correct it, other than wheel spacers. I'd rather bring the left tire in than move the right tire out.
