This is the school bus safety yellow Polyspare tire rim assembly off a 1978 and would like confirmation on the DOT codes. Thanks This is my first shot at posting an image on the board...so keep your fingers crossed...

In 1978 from Sep through March, GM painted the spare tire rim yellow...it was the use of the donut spare tire to replace a regular spare. They used yellow to encourage drivers to replace the tire since it was only good for 50 miles. It went to a black rim when the Pace Cars were introduced.
