I've got the straight's on mine (w/insulators) ------------ EXCEPT on the number 3 cylinder-------- had to go with a 90 degree boot and pull the wire back and tie it. The lack of space on #3 causes it to burn and short out. Hope this helps ! Rick

I've tried both staight and 9o degree on mine to no avail. They both hit the headere and burned/shorted against the header as others described. I finally went with a ceramic boot by Jacobs which I purchased from Jeg's (1-800-345-4545 or jegs.com). You might try Jacobs direct. They are expensive ($148+/ set). The ceramic end works fine on the spark plug but the distributor end connectors suck. I finally had to scrap the distibutor end fittings and use the crimp ends from an Accel kit. If you can get just one wire that would be great or better yet if you can get just the ceramic boot and fit it over your existing wire that would be better. I tried all other proposed solutions (shields, insulators, etc.) and this is the only one that seemes to work for me. Good luck.
